Heavy Snowfall Disrupts Elections Causing The Army To Be Drafted In, Nepal

Normal life in Humla district was affected due to snowfall since last night. The temperature has also dipped to zero degrees Celsius following the snowfall.

People have been forced to limit themselves within their homes after snow as high as one foot has accumulated outside.

Meanwhile, election programmes have also been obstructed due to the heavy snowfall and Nepal Army’s helicopter has been deployed to carry the election officers and security officials to the polling stations, according to the Chief District Officer Shankar Hari Acharya.
