Wildfire forces 100’s to evacuate in Stanley Mission, Northern Saskatchewan, Canada

Wild Fire Alert

More than 300 residents have been forced from their homes in Stanley Mission, as northern Saskatchewan wildfires threaten the small First Nations community.

While flames have not touched Stanley Mission yet, the smoke has been enough to drive many residents out. Parts of the region have been blanketed by a thick cloud of ash from the fires.

Firefighters are battling multiple blazes in the area.

Saskatchewan isn’t the only place facing wildfire problems. Wildfires ripped through parts of California last week, and Alaska is now facing a wildfire crisis. Firefighters from British Columbia and the Yukon have been dispatched to help control the Alaska fires.
