A severe thunderstorm early this morning caused dumped hail nearly the size of baseballs on this small South Texas town. Our 4 Storm Hail Tracker showed the area where the hail hit. It shredded the mobile home belonging to David Rodriguez and Sebastian Jaramillo.
“I cried, I’m sorry. I got scared. I really got scared. I didn’t know what it was, there was no heads’ up,” Rodriguez said. The storm lasted about 20 minutes and broke out the homes front windows and put dozens of holes in the homes walls. As terrifying as it was, the homeowners say they’re just glad that survived the most violent storm of their life. They said the hail sounded like machine gun fire. “All I heard was just the windows shattering,” said Rodriguez.
