Dust storm causes 9-car collision on I-90, South Dakota, USA

Dust Storm Alert

It was zero visibility from blowing dust that caused a nine-vehicle pile-up just west of New Underwood Friday evening.

Strong winds from nearby thunderstorms stirred up the dust.
The eastbound lanes of I90 were shut down for most of Friday night while the wreckage of two semi-trucks and seven other vehicles was cleaned up and authorities investigated the accident.
An unknown number of people were injured but the SD Highway patrol says no one was killed.
