Flash flooding after Sunday’s heavy rain forced several families in Granbury to evacuate their homes.
The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Warning for Hill, Hood, Johnson and Parker Counties Sunday afternoon after torrential rain flooded roads.
The Hood County Fire Marshal said four families, a total of 18 people had been evacuated from the Sunchase Meadows subdivision and another three or four families were evacuated from the Quail Ridge subdivision.
The fire marshal said the water was subsiding as the rain ended, but rescuers were still checking on families in flood zones.
