Severe Weather Alert
Bolingbrook police said village workers were “extremely busy” responding to alarms and 911 calls in the wake of Monday night’s storm.
 
Numerous neighborhoods had experienced or are experiencing power outages, police Lt. Michael Rompa said this morning.
 
The storm knocked down numerous trees that blocked roadways. Public works crews responded and and were removing the trees.
There was minor street flooding that subsided once the heavy rain passed, Rampa said.
 
The National Weather Service reported wind gusts 82 mph in Bolingbrook.
