Major power outage hits 1000’s in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA

Thousands of people are waking up to no power Sunday morning in Grand Rapids.

According to the Consumers Energy outage map, there is a power outage that stretches from south of I-96 past Burton Street.

The power went out at around 7:30 a.m. and nearly five thousand customers were without power as of 8:30 a.m.

There is no cause for the outage at this time and no estimated restoration time.
