Plane crash kills two in Coweta County, USA

The Cessna C150 departed from Falcon Field in Peachtree City and was headed to Shellman Bluff, on the Georgia coast, according to the FAA. A family friend called the FAA Saturday afternoon when the plane was overdue to arrive at Eagle Neck Airport in Shellman Bluff, the FAA said.

Investigators located the plane’s wreckage in a wooded area in Senoia, near the Coweta-Fayette county line. A member of the search team told Channel 2 Action News there were no survivors.

The names of those aboard the plane were not released late Saturday.

Both the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash.
