A landslide has obstructed north-west Talamarang Bazaar-Batase road stretch which is seven kilometers away from district central hub Melamchi.
The mudslide occurred at Jagarkot of Sindhupalchowk has brought the vehicular movement to grinding halt. The landslide has swept away 400 metres of road somewhere 300 metres ahead of Manebhanjyang school.
With great festival Dashain coming near people here are not being able to bring daily essential goods, said Chairperson of Road Construction Committee, Tej Bahadur Tamang.
He informed that the landslide has put at least 14 houses of Jagarbot at risk and four among them are on verge of collapse.
As the landslide blew away the road it is even difficult for pedestrians to cross the road section so locals have demanded opening of alternative route.
