Extreme weather Nina stopped all air traffic in Bergen, while heavy snowfall leads delays at Oslo Airport, Gardermoen
While the ground personnel at Gardermoen Airport (Oslo) struggle to open the runway covered with snow, some flights get delayed up to two hours.
Morning punctuality at Oslo Airport is only 64 percent. Half of all aircrafts from SAS, Widerøe and other airlines are delayed. The delay Saturday afternoon is up to two hours, writes NRK.
The airport management expects the traffic can be normalized soon with decline of snowfall but air traffic towards western Norway will be still affected.
On the other hand, extreme weather- Nina, which hit mainly western coast of Norway, causes more serious problems in air traffic. All departures and landings are canceled at Bergen Airport because of the storm.
