The winter weather advisory has been canceled for the Baltimore metro region, but the bigger story is what’s coming.
Meteorologist Tim Williams reports it’s been a rather messy overnight in some areas.
Many areas saw only rain, although slick spots were possible, especially on sidewalks. That may be true again Sunday morning before temperatures get above freezing.
Sunday promises to be brighter, but another system will approach later at night, and it promises to bring more frozen stuff here in time for the Monday commute. That will likely become a nightmare!

The snow will begin Sunday evening and continue through Monday afternoon. The storm total is expected to be 3-6 inches over the course of the two days, with locally higher amounts.
Temperatures will be below normal all week with highs in the low to mid-30s. The coldest nights will be Monday and Tuesday; temperatures will only reach the low teens.
