Two people were injured in a small plane crash Tuesday afternoon in Oconee County, Fire Chief Charles King said.

The single-engine plane with two seats crashed at a private runway in Walhalla, King said. The plane left the end of a roadway and went into a grove of trees, he said.

The Federal Aviation Administration has been notified to investigate the cause of the crash, which was reported about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. King said the property belongs to Just Aircraft, which builds small planes and is located at 170 Duck Pond Road.

The occupants were flown to Greenville Memorial Hospital for treatment, King said. Their conditions were not available.
