Hundreds of dead birds appeared on the shore of the beach Villa, in the District of Chorrillos in Lima, the Peruvian capital. Gulls and pelicans of all sizes were scattered throughout the Spa.
According to the daily El Comercioreported, residents of the area said that lifeless birds began to appear from the Tuesday evening. However, according to them has surprised the amount which appeared during the morning and part of the morning on Tuesday.
“This was not well yesterday. I went through here in the afternoon and I saw around five dead seagulls. Already it seemed weird, but today is incredible,”said a neighbor of the urbanization Los Cedros, the Andina Agency.
In 2014, the beach Villa was declared by the General Directorate of environmental health (Digesa) as not suitable for swimmers due to his poor health.
