Farmers of Cesar reported the death of 25 thousand cattle so far run of the present or, after the severe drought affecting the Department, which has caused the decrease of food in herds in the region.

“Cesar was producing one million litres of milk a day, approximately, and now barely reach around 300 thousand litres a day,” he said.
Cattle deaths joined figures of losses in other sectors such as corn, rice and rural employment, whose production has declined by more than 60 percent, while more than 18 thousand unemployed are already going in the field.
In addition to the losses generated by the summer, one concern more joins farmers: the extent of the phenomenon of the child until next year.
“We have information of the Ideam of El Niño will run through the month of April 2016 and that now will no longer be an El Niño phenomenon but a Super child”, explained the trade union leader.
Overall losses in the Department of Cesar, the strong summer product, already total more than 204 billion pesos.
