Ash plume increasing at Batu Tara volcano in Sunda Islands, Indonesia

Ash plumes from the volcano have become an almost daily observation on satellite data monitored by VAAC Darwin. This suggests that activity has picked up at the volcano. 
 
This morning, a plume at 5,000 ft (1.5 km) altitude drifted 35 km W from the volcano.
