According to local news, the eruption restarted today after 4 days of quiet.
Observers detected minor strombolian activity from a small, 1 m diameter vent at the bottom of the large new cone.
Small explosions every few seconds were seen sending lava bombs to a few tens of meters height, not surpassing the outer crater rim. According to volcano observatory, sporadic pulses of tremor have reappeared this morning since 7am local time.
Whether this is just a weak after-play or the onset of a more significant eruptive phase of the latest eruption remains to be seen.
