
Twenty-two workers were trapped under a coal mine that caught fire on Friday night in northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province, local authorities said.
The fire broke out at about 11 p.m. at a coal mine in Jixi City. The mine is operated by state-owned Heilongjiang Longmay Mining Holding Group, according to the work safety administration of Heilongjiang Province.
The rescue is ongoing.
