Ash eruptions of Chillán volcano during the past 2 days
The volcano continued to produce mild to relatively strong ash emissions once or twice per day on average. Plumes have been reaching heights of 2 km and the Chilean authorities have increased the exclusion zone near the volcano (which is part of a popular skiing area) from 2 to 3 km radius around the crater.
