Mirko Avendaño, regional manager of agriculture, reported that the areas most affected by these frosts have been the provinces of Arequipa, Castilla, Caylloma; the total hectares of natural pastures, which have been affected are 30%, so that since last month has been a campaign to send bales of hay to the hardest hit areas in the region, with the aim that can feed the cattle, along with kits that are revitalizing, antibiotics and vitamins for livestock , and prevent increase in mortality.
 
The phenomenon of the girl, along with the continuation of the winter season, will cause these figures to increase even more in the following weeks, since both factors skirmishes low temperatures, according to the reports issued by the Senamhi, said Mirko Avendaño.
