200,000 chickens killed by bird flu in Helsingborg, Sweden

Bird Flu
Agriculture writes that approximately 37 000 laying hens were killed in the courtyard outside Helsingborg on Thursday.

In total there are 200 000 laying hens at the plant and agricultural work now state that all be killed.

There is of course a great strain on the animal’s owner that the bird flu has entered the herd. For infection control reasons, it is necessary to kill the entire crew, and we’re working on with this as quickly as we can. Because it’s a great crew work will take time, not least given the major consolidation that needs to take place throughout the facility, says Karin Ahl, infection control officer at the Swedish Board of Agriculture, in the press release.
