THEATRE EVACUATED Terror cops cordon off London’s Old Vic theatre and evacuate pubs and restaurants

The building, as well as surrounding restaurants, pubs and shops, have been evacuated
 
THE Old Vic theatre has been evacuated following a “security alert”.
 
Surrounding shops, restaurants and pubs have also been evacuated as armed police and fire fighters arrived at the scene.
 
In a statement, The Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 14.38pm on Saturday, May 27, to The Cut, Waterloo, to a report of a security alert at a theatre.
 
“The theatre took the decision to evacuate the building.
 
“Road closures have been put in place.
 
“Specialist officers are on the scene. Enquires are ongoing.”
 
Star Wars actor John Boyega is currently starring at the theatre in the lead role of Woyzeck, a Cold War play about 1980s Berlin.
