Lightning, flash floods have killed four people in Amhara regional state located in northern Ethiopia on Wednesday night.
 
Amhara regional state Police department Public Relations Coordinator Commander Ascahlew Alamewe, said the disaster happened in Kobo area, 555 kms north of Addis Ababa, the capital city, with one person dying as a result of lightning strike while three others died when they were swept away by flash floods.
 
The Ethiopian Meteorology Agency warned earlier this week a prospect of above-average rainfall induced flood accidents in different parts of the East African country.
