A total of three dolphins have appeared dead in the first week of January in different parts of the coast of the municipality of Puerto del Rosario (Fuerteventura), said today a statement from the Cabildo Majorero.
The first stranding of the year of a dolphin was recorded on January 1 in Rosa de las Aguas, in the vicinity of Puerto Lajas, after an alert received by 112.

The first dolphin was in an advanced state of decomposition, so the cause of his death will not be determined, however, animals stranded on January 2 and 5 will be necropsied to determine the reason for their stranding .
The corpses were removed by the body of Environment Agents of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura and will be analyzed by the University Institute of Animal Health, concludes the note.
