Hundreds of dead #fish appear in a river in #Piracanjuba, #Brazil

Residents of the community of Rochedo, located in Piracanjuba , southern Goiás, were frightened by the amount of fish that appeared dead on Monday morning (28) on the Meia Ponte River. They recorded videos showing hundreds of dead fish. Also, community states that the stench is unbearable (See video) .

The Secretariat of Environment and Sustainable Development (Semad) said in a statement that a team of technicians had been sent to the scene to assess the situation and begin an investigation into what may have caused the fish to die. The action of the secretariat occurs in conjunction with the State Police Station for Crime Suppression of the Environment (Dema).
