POLICE have sealed off a train carrying 330 passengers in Germany due to fears a coronavirus patient is on board.

German police stopped the Frankfurt Central-bound Inter City Express in Frankfurt-Süd, a station in the south of the city.

Officials said 330 passengers were on board the train, which is being held on platform 8.

The ill man has been isolated on the train, local media reported.

Germany has 203 recorded cases of coronavirus, with no deaths.
