Magnitude 5.5 Earthquake Depth 10 km Strikes Carlsberg Ridge on 18th April 2026

The Carlsberg Ridge is a slow-spreading submarine ridge in the northwestern Indian Ocean, defining the plate boundary between the African and Indian (or Somali) plates. It extends from the Gulf of Aden to the Central Indian Ridge, featuring rugged topography with a 13–26 km wide rift valley.
