Streets are turned into rivers as cars drive though flood waters (SWNS)
After a miserable August an unseasonable snow storm marked the end of summer as giant hail stones, lightning bolts and flash floods battered Britain.

Traffic ground to a halt as a freak blizzard swept through the Midlands at around 7.30pm on Tuesday.

The adverse weather conditions lasted for about thirty minutes and was captured by Paul Rigby, who witnessed his street both flooded and and covered in snow.
There were some drivers who braved the wet conditions in spite of warnings (SWNS)
It should come as no surprise that bookies are predicting this August to be the wettest month on record.
