Hundreds of birds fall dead from sky in Nizhny Tagil, Russia

Dead birds appeared on the roadsides in the Nizhny Tagil region, eyewitnesses report.
“Due to the abnormal weather in the Urals, hundreds of swifts fall from the sky from hunger and cold.
On the highway under Nizhny Tagil the birds fell directly to the ground from exhaustion and cold.
A whole flock of birds died, not having had time to fly to a more favorable area to search for food and warmth, ”one of the witnesses told E1.RU.
Thermoregulation swifts can not cope with temperature changes – with a sharp cooling, they hibernate.
