A fire in a Victoriaville oil manufacturing plant caused $3 million worth of damage late on Friday night.
According to the Surete du Quebec, firefighters have not found anything suspicious about the blaze, which started around 11:00 p.m.
The fire could possibly have an impact on the drinking water supply for Victoriaville. The province’s environmental response unit has sent a team to the area and a mobile laboratory has also been dispatched to provide analysis.
A spokesperson for the SQ described the oils made in the plant as “naturally based.”
