Apparently, the massive mortality is due to an event similar to the one that occurred last February, when a large group of different species such as “gherkins”, “trumpeters”, “little stars” and different varieties of jellyfish were washed away by sea currents to El Rinconcillo beach.

Ecologists in the area have already said that it is a natural process and, contrary to what may seem, it makes clear that the ecosystem is recovering.

Despite this, again this time, conservationists ask that the situation be analyzed and the cause of the death that has affected thousands of small fish in the waters of the Bay of Algeciras investigated.
