The Grant County Sheriff’s Office has sent out a Level 3 Wildfire evacuation notice for those who live in the Rimrock Meadows community as of Saturday evening.
Deputies say a wildfire starting about 17 miles northwest of Ephrata is threatening homes and other buildings. NBC Right Now just got word the wildfire has burned over 10,000 acres and it is zero percent contained.
Level one notices came out Saturday afternoon around 2:30 p.m.
The Rimrock fire is also part of two other wildfires burning to make up the Douglas County Complex fire. Washington State Patrol tells us the blaze started Friday night.
The first fire is burning 8 miles southeast of Waterville, the other is 14 miles southeast of Mansfield. State fire assistance is on scene to support local crews, and the cause is unknown as of now.
